What the property is
Floret Resort Lachung is a fifteen-room resort on Army Helipad Road, near the Power House, in Lachung, North Sikkim. It sits at roughly 8,610 ft, about 2.5 km from the centre of the village, on the road most travellers take toward Yumthang Valley and Zero Point.
The rooms are in a single building: two family rooms and seven mountain view rooms with balconies, and six quieter forest view rooms facing the wooded slope behind. Interiors are pine-panelled with wood floors. Meals are served at the resort. Most guests use Floret as the overnight base for a Yumthang Valley day trip, arriving from Gangtok in the afternoon and leaving early the next morning.
Open by season
Floret is not open year-round. It takes stays between 1 August and 14 April, with two breaks inside that window, and is closed from 4 January to 28 February, from 5 to 26 March, and from 15 April to 31 July. The tariff page carries the exact dates alongside the rates.
This matters when you plan. North Sikkim's best-known season is the rhododendron bloom around Yumthang in late April and May, and Floret is closed for it.
